Privacy policy

FX Calc is designed to work without an account and without collecting personal information. This policy describes what happens today. We will update it before adding advertising, analytics, or purchases, and those features will ask for consent where required.

What stays on your device

• The currencies on your board, their order, and the amount you last entered.
• A copy of the latest exchange rates, so conversion works offline.

On the website this is kept in your browser's local storage; in the app it is kept in the app's storage on your phone. We never receive it. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app removes it.

What our servers receive

To download exchange rates and pages, your browser or the app makes ordinary web requests to our servers, which run on Cloudflare. Like any website, these requests include technical information such as your IP address and browser type. Cloudflare processes it to deliver and protect the service. We do not use it to identify you, and the amounts you convert are never sent to us: all calculations happen on your device.

What we do not do

• No accounts, sign-in, or profiles.
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies at this time.
• No sale or sharing of personal information.
• No collection of your precise location.

Third parties

Exchange rates are fetched by our servers from our rate provider; your device does not contact the provider directly.
